Oh Monday

It was a long and exhausting weekend.  A good weekend, but absolutely exhausting.  It’s been a long Monday.

And while I should be catching up on everything I didn’t get done while I was gone this weekend, I’m just too tired.  But I’m never too tired to play online.

I’m really liking the long sleeved sparkling dresses that are out this season.

Vince Camuto 'Desti" Pump

So, I have a new navy skirt suit… and finding navy shoes to match is almost impossible.  Or so I thought.  I had bought nude pumps, but I’m just not a nude pump girl.  My skin is too pale.  It makes me look even more translucent than I already do in the middle of a Midwest winter.

So before we went to a birthday dinner tonight, my husband offered to stop by the mall with me.  I looked everywhere, nothing. Not just because I’m picky… even he didn’t like any of them.  And then, these appeared.  I’m not sure I’ve ever tried on shoes so comfortable.  And they have just enough platform to make me feel tall without looking completely inappropriate with a suit.  I’m in love.

Putting shoes this sparkly on a website two months before they’re going to be available is just kind of mean.  But I may have to preorder and let the arrive to surprise me when they FINALLY arrive.  I used to be the queen of heels… law school and carrying it’s crazy books broke me of that.  I could never fall in love with a pair of flats though… These look like they could be the ones.

These, I simply adore.  I have no real justification for their purchase.  But they’re gorgeous.  I’m actually becoming a huge fan of Ivanka’s shoes overall… Classy, classic and comfortable.
