Spring showed up yesterday, and Minnesota ran outside to play! Almost 70 in early March is not typical for this part of the world. We could have blizzards for another month. We still might. But it’s been a low, almost no, snow winter. And I think that has actually made us more ready for Spring.
I have always said I couldn’t live in a place that didn’t have four seasons. But a winter without snow? It’s dismal. At least a few good snowfalls give us a white base for the scenery. We never got that this year. We had brown and dirty… But still cold. Ick.
So I got my work done early yesterday and took my husband and my camera out to play… as did the rest of Minnesota it seemed. There were people everywhere! And at least at the park and zoo, everyone seemed to be in a much better mood.
Her highness napping in the sunshine…

Lion Yawn…
My husband’s favorite… The Polar Bear
There’s nothing green outside yet… but the tropics room at the conservatory had some color going!
The melting park.
The sun shining through the still bare trees.
The kids of Minnesota finally getting outside!
